Unicorn Communications is recruiting on behalf of its sister construction company the following telecommunications construction positions:

General Items

It should be understood that Beraiah is a Christian company.  No employee is forced to be a Christian.  However, we will give praise to our Lord frequently within the hearing of all or some employees, we will pray in public, the Bible and the Lord’s words will be very visible, if this is offensive to you in anyway, then you should not join our company. 

Principal Office:

The principal office and the dominant hiring location is based in Oklahoma and adjacent states.

 Pay periods:

Pay period is bi-weekly (every two weeks).  Employee is responsible for completing a daily time sheet and getting it signed by Supervisor, failure to submit approved timesheet will result in not being paid for that period.

Overtime is paid in arrears by one pay period. 

All work is W2 based (no 1099); the company will withhold all deductions and court ordered garnishments.

Paychecks will be direct deposited only to bank of employees choice.

Workday:

Average workday is from 7AM till 7PM (12 hours – 8 at regular pay and 4 at overtime rate (1.5 times regular pay))

Average workweek is Monday through Saturday. (All Saturday work is paid at the overtime rate)

Breaks will be given as prescribed by the Crew Superintendent.

Lunch break is 30 minutes and brought in by the company.

National holidays are not worked. (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)

We will never work on Sundays.

Warehouse staff may work second shift to replenish and service crew vehicles and equipment.

 

Company Benefits:

1.       The company provides medical insurance for employee and pays 100% of the cost of this insurance.  Employee may elect to add their legal dependents onto this policy at their own expense.  Coverage is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shied PPO program. 

2.       The company provides Vision and Dental insurance for the employee and pays 100% of the cost for this insurance.  Employee may elect to add their legal dependents onto this policy at their own expense.

3.       The company provides Short and Long Term disability insurance for employees and pays 100% of the cost of insurance. 

Company Rules:

1.      Appearance: All project personnel must maintain a professional appearance at all times when on the job site or the project offices. 

      a.      Company provided uniforms must be kept in good repair and clean.

Any damage to the company provided uniforms will be the responsibility of the employee to replace, unless it is considered by the company to be normal wear and tear, in which case the company will replace at no cost to the employee.

b.      Employee provided work pants must be clean and in good repair.  No holes, rips, or tears allowed.  Jeans must fit properly with the waistline being two sideways fingers width below the belly button.  Any work jeans below this point will not be allowed on the job site and employee will be docked a days pay and repeated offenses will result in termination.

Where due to girth, jeans do not stay at the waistline; employee at their own expense will wear appropriate suspenders to keep their pants up.

c.      Hair length:  As long as hair is kept out of the way of eyes and up so that it does not represent a safety hazard, hair can be whatever length employee desires.  However, if it is found that the hair is interfering with job duties or creating a safety risk, then employee will have an option of cutting hair or termination.

d.      Tattoos: Tattoos are allowed as long as they are not offensive or satanic in nature.  If either of these circumstances applies, employee must cover these tattoos at all times while at the job site and or company vehicles/offices.  It is at the sole discretion of the company to determine if a tattoo is offensive or satanic in nature.  Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate termination.

e.      Piercings:  Ear Piercings are allowed, however only studs will be worn while on the job site and or company vehicles/offices.  No other visible piercing will be worn while on the job site and or company vehicles/offices. 

f.        Tee Shirts: The Company provides uniform shirts that will be worn at all times while at the job site and or company vehicles/offices. While working employee may not remove this shirt and go bare chest or with only a tee shirt.  Any tee shirts worn under the company uniform shirt must not have any offensive or satanic images or slogans. 

2.      Job safety:  There will be no tolerance for any failures to comply with or adhering to company safety policies.  No horseplay, tricks, etc. will be tolerated while on the job.  Any employee failing to comply with job safety standards will be terminated.

3.      Language:

       a.      All employees must be cognizant of their language. 

       b.      Excessive uses of swear or profanity words while on the job site and or company vehicles/offices will not be permitted. 

4.      No Tobacco Policy:

a.      There will be NO tobacco use while on the job site and or company vehicles/offices/lay down yards/warehouses/etc. 

b.      This is inclusive of cigarettes, cigars, snuff, chew, dip, etc. 

c.      Any violations of this policy will result in immediate termination.
